My love affair with the bicycle started at age 7 ...... for a few years while in the RAF I was bikeless but other than that I've been pedaling, even a 28 mile round trip daily commute over a 2 mile bridge on a single speed, 100 inch gear, with rear hub back pedal brake, all for simplicity and low upkeep. The python seems the ultimate ..... but I lack a workshop, and no welding skills and have a very busy life with too many conflicting priorities ....... the videos of you guys pedaling a straight line with both hands on your head turn me green with envy. Yes I am lean thanks to CRON (Calorie Restriction Optimal Nutrition) at 50.8 kg, 1.73m tall, but I don't know how fit I am.

Regards,
Brian

Siwmae Brian,

What is it about bikes and old men? I noticed it first when I was a kid. Old fellows on bikes who seemed lean and fit despite being -- to my boy's eye -- pretty ancient. It's as if biking is the magic formula to keep us going into late old age. There was a TV item here a while back about a couple of old lads still biking out AND CAMPING, one in his eighties and one in his nineties. You and I can hope to keep going for a good while yet, then, Brian. I find that I prefer biking to walking these days.
