...... at age 79 I can maintain 22 km/hr on my rear drive recumbent with very little effort and I enjoy the exercise .......

Siwmae Brian,

What is it about bikes and old men? I noticed it first when I was a kid. Old fellows on bikes who seemed lean and fit despite being -- to my boy's eye -- pretty ancient. It's as if biking is the magic formula to keep us going into late old age. There was a TV item here a while back about a couple of old lads still biking out AND CAMPING, one in his eighties and one in his nineties. You and I can hope to keep going for a good while yet, then, Brian. I find that I prefer biking to walking these days.

To Ron: OK, call it PIS then. We native English speakers will immediately mangle it to "peez" -- as in 'peas and beans' -- in our contrary way, anyway, so why not. Incidentally, 'welsh' is an English word, meaning foreigner (!). We call ourselves 'Cymry'. Involuted, innit! (What has any of this to do with pythons? Quit babbling, Gwilym)
