This Saturday, April 19, Mary Zimmerman will be leading the NTOS to Long Hunter State Park in Rutherford county. The group will be looking for spring migrants such as vireos, warblers, tanagers, orioles, and more, and also waterfowl and swallows on the park's Couchville Lake. We will be meeting in the parking lot beside the trail at Couchville Lake (located within the state park) at 7:00 A.M. The outing will only last the morning. Please bring bug spray, as the park can have numbers of mosquitos in some areas. For more information about Long Hunter State Park (including latitude/longitude for the meeting place), click here.
