Please join the Nashville TOS this Saturday, September 20th, as Frank Fekel leads us around Shelby Park and Bottoms just outside downtown Nashville. We will meet at 7:00 AM in the parking lot at the Shelby Park Community Center (401 S 20th Street), then we'll take the path around Mission Hill before wrapping up at Sections I and II of the Bottoms. A wonderful variety of passerines frequent the park throughout the year - the most sought-after being several species of flycatchers and warblers, among other birds. This walk should continue throughout the morning, so feel free to bring snacks and drinks. Bug spray may also be useful. Please visit Tennessee Watchable Wildlife | Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Nature Park for directions to Mission Hill. I hope to see everyone there! ***Get it on your calendars! The next NTOS field trip will be on October 18, 2014, at Bells Bend Park in Davidson County. Chloe Walker Murfreesboro, TN
