The perpetrators I personally met in my social worker years often seemed to
be quite autistic, which fits in well with your observations. And indeed,
there were often severe traumatic events in the family of the victims as
well, who seemed to be uncertain as to whether they were willing to really
face the issue, perhaps largely motivated by fear of aggravation (and of
exposure?) I saw people who seemed to have come from a well educated middle
class background, but due to collective trauma and mental illness had
slipped down, the other part of the family appeared to come from class and
ethnic degradation.
also, I do not know if there is a clear divide between "mild " child
pornography and outright rape. I saw mothers not allowing investigations
and things sliding out of control, until police was called, not by the
family. Much fear surrounds this dark area, of course.
But what you found, is a light of hope for strong and brave people.

continuation of the perpetrator victim dynamic but is a plea for the
exposure of the true family heritage that has been often hidden by the most
extreme means. Things such as emigration, changing nationality, declaring
new religious memberships are part of the escape from the terror of the
original perpetrator victim dynamics. Then the family hid their past. So in
this way, it is the victim that is unseen. The family system will use means
to allow this to be seen and eventually in pornography the seen aspect is
at its height. The family is not often even aware of the background of
their ancestors while the pornography is actively going on. Of course, part
of the solution is the seeing of the original culture that has been denied
and hidden.
In my observation, child pornography is a step past and more difficult
than child sexual abuse or rape. It incorporates all of this as well as
torture and the key is the exposure of the victim. It is not less than but
more than as far as `weight' is concerned in constellation work. It is
usually after the others have not gotten to the root of the dynamic. As for
the watchers of child pornography, let us wonder if they might be an aspect
of the original perpetrator seeing his victim. Imagine a religious
suppression of an indigenous culture where the act of seeing the victim is
replayed and those watching are asked to see the whole scenario. We cannot
simply say this is more or less hurtful . All acts that harm children are
hurtful but where is the solution? To ask why someone is addicted to child
pornography is another dynamic I think and one I have not looked at
specifically. Allowing the loving connection to what is hidden is always

there are several ways that behaviors and abuses can come as a longing for
resolution so what I have observed, although in different situation, is
only one possible systemic explanation. I hope it is helpful to some of you
and that there are more observations regarding this issue.
