You could put in a hi shelf and turn the gain on that band down by several DB.  
That should get rid of some of the hiss.  Regarding your boomy bass, you may 
want to look at cutting frequencies around 60 to 80 Hz, by a few DB.

  It's me again with another question:

  I just recorded a few songs with live basses on them. On one of them, I 
realized that I captured the bass with some hiss, is there anyway I can EQ this 
out?  And, the bass is very boomy, any suggestions on where I should start 
cutting and boosting to get a clear tight bass. Most of the songs I am working 
on this album are Reggae and other Caribbean musics that require a tight bass, 
but not too boomy, as it is in hip-hop. Thanks.
