Hi.  ah, okay.  Hmmmm.  I don't have another midi interface lying around.
However, my Yamaha S90es does have uSB so perhaps I could use that for the
midi side of things to see if it solves the problem for now.

Will this cause a conflict though?  If anybody knows...  I seem to recall
trying this out with my Tascam FW1884 a couple years ago and the result was
that sonar would only let you choose one device at a time.

I've been looking on forums etc regarding the project mix and haven't come
across this specific issue... not yet at least.

The MIDI out on my ProjectMix triggers my VoiceLive 2, just fine.

That would be a first good try, though. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do
with the audio, but the MIDI.

Are you using the project mix as your midi interface?  I seem to remember
there being a problem with the project mix's midi out.  If you have
something else to use as a midi interface, try it.
