Yah, Steve, I'll have to get somebody over here who knows about computers
and have them look at my sound card and screen.  I just bought this computer
last June.  How could a sound card go bad so fast?  I guess they do.  I'm on
here every day.

I wonder if, too, that sometimes when I have a lot of programs open that it
might cause the speech to disappear?  One time it happened to me at work,
when I had way too many programs open and my speech went away.  I had to
totally turn everything off.  It happened a long time ago.  I didn't even
have the JAWS 4.0 series.  It never happened again after that.
