Hi,
I have figured out how to do ssh in windows so that I can connect remotely to
my Pis on my network. I am still new to all of this and quite rusty. Will I
need a terminal emulator when I connect to my Pi via windows ssh? All I want
to do is login once in a while, maybe run a few programs, write some code, and
maybe install a few packages. Will I be able to do this without using a
terminal emulator?
My coding friend says I need one but I really do not know the difference
between terminal emulator, terminal, and ssh. This is all quite new to me.

I have Win10 builed 18363 installed and the strange thing is that my pc
tries to install a later build but at some stage it says that the install
failed. This is going on for a few months.
