Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson County Nashville, TN Wednesday May 18, 2005 7-10:15 am Phillip Casteel and I walked from the west parking lot to Long Bridge this morning, ahead of the extensive group of NTOS Wednesday Walk birders. We heard and saw NO CONNECTICUT WARBLERs, however word came to us second hand that one was heard near Cane Bridge, the small bridge along the Lake Trail shortly after the dam as you procede around the lake. As consolation we saw 2 male MOURNING WARBLERs. The first was interacting with 3 PROTHONOTARY WARBLERs as one begins to walk the dam road from Otter Creek Road to the Ranger's house by the dam. A second MOURNING WARLBER, just before Long Bridge, called, sang, and provided us with extended looks. A male WILSON'S WARBLER was also in evidence. We were less successful in identifying a flycatcher in the same area. Several SWAINSON'S and GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSHes were also seen and heard. -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 330 10th Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203 USA =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
