Our group of nine tallied 49 species this morning at Great Falls National Park.
Highlights of the day included a worm-eating warbler feeding young, an
eye-level kingbird and good views of an Acadian flycatcher. Two eagle chicks
have fledged; we have yet to see the third leave the nest. Adults were not in
sight this morning. Great blues continue to be plentiful. All are welcome to
join this regular Sunday walk that meets at 8:000 am in the visitors center
parking lot. -- Marshall Rawson, McLean VA
