At Great Falls National Park today our group of five tallied 37 species. The
eagles this season have remodeled their post derecho nest so that it is much
deeper which blocks our view of any activity on the nest. The gulls are
migrating now as their numbers have greatly increased heading upstream. All
birders are welcome to join this Sunday walk that meets at 8:00am in the
visitors center parking lot. -- Marshall Rawson, McLean VA
