[Va-bird] Occoquan Bay NWR

I spent the afternoon at Occoquan Bay NWR today.

I was there to take pictures, but thought I'd let the list know what
birds I saw:

Black-and-white Warbler
Yellow Warbler ( http://www.pbase.com/allen_hart/image/111811790 ;)
Prothonotary Warbler
White-crowned Sparrow  ( http://www.pbase.com/allen_hart/image/111811788 ;)
Solitary Sandpiper - pond by parking lot (

Osprey - lots of them on their nests (

Tree Swallow - telling me it was too hot (

Eastern Bluebird
Great Blue Heron
Song Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Mallard
Wood Duck (saw one of them fly into a nest box)
Northern Cardinal
Mourning Dove
Canada Goose
Common Grackle
European Starling
Brown Thrasher
Common Yellowthroat
Eastern Towhee
American Robin

In addition to the birds - saw a few other wild critters

Eastern Cottontail
White-tailed Deer

Water snake
Snapping Turtle
Red-eared Slider
A few butterflies and dragonflies

Don't forget to check for ticks if you visit OBNWR.
