VA birders,
My final stop of the day was Occoquan. It was great to see so many other
birders! The Osprey were all working on nest building. I was happy to find a
Chipping Sparrow, Eastern Phoebe, Great Egret and Tree Swallows. I even had
some winter birds: Fox Sparrow, Brown Creeper and Winter Wren. There were a
lot of boats on the water, so my waterfowl numbers were low but it was still a
great time! I'm so glad I went birding today. Spring is here! :)
Good birding!
