This morning I spent 3 1/2 hours at Occoquan, with a nice list of 50 species
of birds. Highlights were the aforementioned lone CANVASBACK, a FOX
SPARROW along Deephole Point Road on the South side of the refuge, 2 KING
RAILS, 3 WILD TURKEYS, and 5 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS. I also managed to get
RUSTY BLACKBIRDS for the first time (thanks for those who previously
answered my question).
