I’m really enjoying this discussion, and I liked what Barbara said:
"If you want her to heal more than she wants to heal, nothing will work."
I would say it a little differently: "If you want her to heal more than she
wants to heal (or has the internal resources with which to move forward), this
is not your work to do.”
Many times I have reached out in such a way that I find myself caught in the
web of the convergence of the client’s entanglements and my own.
