Phil replied: after boot up, is the FW-1884 control panel coming up if you 
press the control panel button?  Does it then close out if you press the 
FW-1884 control panel button on the top of the FW-1884?  Fatal exceptions don't 
sound good at all!  Sonar usually doesn't do that!  Finally, which drivers are 
you attempting to use.  WDM or, ASIO?
