Hi Steve/All,

You used to have to do a double-tap Ctrl-R for an automation snapshot, but that was changed some time ago, because it was no longer necessary to do a separate Automation record operation. So, in short, whenever you arm tracks for automation, then any parameter changes are recorded by default, and Control-R (just once) will take a snapshot of all armed parameters. Sometimes that's overkill, so it can be better to take a single snapshot of just one parameter, which you can do with applications-key then S.

HTH,

Peter

Hi Mike,

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it hold down Control then hit the R key twice to create a snapshot?

Ivan,

Go to the point in your project where you want to return the volume to the value that you had it set before you recorded the fade; then move to the volume column and reset it to that value. At that point, do a control-R to record an automation point that'll give you a snapshot of your settings. Make sure that Automation Write is on, of course, or you won't get this accomplished.

In regards to your tempo problem: Make sure that you've inserted your original tempo at the beginning of the project, which I'm assuming you've done that. Insert the new tempo at the beginning of the bar where you want it to occur with control-T. Don't use the "Insert Series of Tempos" unless you want to do just that.

Hope this helps.

Mike

Thanks Kevin, though I cannot seem to figure out how insert the volume
change.

I donâ??t see under insert (alt+I) a volume option.

Can you let me know, or where in the CT manual covers volume changes.

The CT manual does make reference to inserting volume changes, but
donâ??t see where it tells you how to do it.

Also, I have inserted a tempo change in a different bar and track and it
does not change the tempo.

Do you know if there is a catch to inserting tempo changes beyond going
to insert tempo?

Thanks,
