Hmmm maybe that's why I have been getting a strange message from sonar every
time I try to take automation snapshots. The message goes something like this.
About 180 parameters have been automated are you sure you want to draw so many
envelopes? And then it goes on to say something about too many envelopes can
slow down sonar's operations. I am not quoting the message verbatim, but what
I've said is very close to it. It seems to me that when I try to automate one
parameter many other parameters are also being changed. How would I solve this
problem? This has been going on for quite some time, so any help will be
greatly appreciated.

May the peace of God which passes all understanding guard your heart and mind
in Christ Jesus. God bless you!

Hi Steve/All,

You used to have to do a double-tap Ctrl-R for an
automation snapshot, but that was changed some
time ago, because it was no longer necessary to
do a separate Automation record operation. So,
in short, whenever you arm tracks for automation,
then any parameter changes are recorded by
default, and Control-R (just once) will take a
snapshot of all armed parameters. Sometimes
that's overkill, so it can be better to take a
single snapshot of just one parameter, which you
can do with applications-key then S.

HTH,

Peter
