Hi D!J!X!,

Speaking of this business of asio and wdm drivers, I'd be interested in what you and others prefer to use. I've heard that wdm is better, but then it depends on what source you're reading, etc. I've been using asio for a while now without any problems, but now with the discussion of the metronome underway, I may consider switching to wdm to get more flexibility in my choices for ins and outs. Any thoughts on these drivers?

Mike

Hi, 1 thing to note, virtual audio cable will only work if you are using
wdm. If you are using asio drivers for your interface, as you know you can
only select 1 device at a time. So this solution wouldn't work then, well
not without some other problems. If you have a saffire interface, this is
where the virtual loopback ports come in handy! BTW, I thought you could
record a click by setting it to run on playback as well as recording? So
that when you mix down the bus will include the click track? I think I did
this once a few years ago, don't remember how, but I know it's doable. Or
maybe I used a physical cable, can't remember.
