Hi Rui: Speaking of Acid Files, I've been trying to sync the metronome to a
file to edit it and I haven't been successful with this feature nor have I been
able to access the help file from within Sonar on acid files. I can access
other sections of the help manual, but for some strange reason this one is un
obtainable.. I don't have Sound Forge yet. Have you or anyone on the list used
the feature to acidize files from within Sonar? If so please explain it to me.I
did manage to access the help section on (Acidize Loops) and so I loop the
entire project to see if it would allow me to perform edits this way: well! it
did allow me to select and delete the selected area and in my delete options I
chose to delete-all: It would not remove the gap where audio data once was.

insert a new ]audio track, then go to my documents Cake Walk, Sonar bla bla
producer, Sample content,
Metronome Groove Clips ; inside this one you will get the audio and midi
metronome sounds used by Sonar.
Note, the audio audio samples are accidized, therefore they will folow pretty
well the project master tempo .

Could I switch to WDM just want enough to make a click track using the
metronome and then render a track with that? After I use the metronome to make
a click track, could I go back to ASIO?

Hi, 1 thing to note, virtual audio cable will only work if you are using
wdm. If you are using asio drivers for your interface, as you know you
can
only select 1 device at a time. So this solution wouldn't work then,
well
not without some other problems. If you have a saffire interface, this
is
where the virtual loopback ports come in handy! BTW, I thought you could
record a click by setting it to run on playback as well as recording? So
that when you mix down the bus will include the click track? I think I
did
this once a few years ago, don't remember how, but I know it's doable.
Or
maybe I used a physical cable, can't remember.
