I record click tracks via my Beheringer hardware mixer: Do you have a mixer? Robbie Lee. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Tyo" <mtyo@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi D!J!X!,

Thanks for saving my rear-end on that one; I totally forgot about the asio drivers scenario. In that case, you'd have to patch a physical cable to get the metronome recorded to a click track. I did try leaving the playback click turned on when I rendered a mix, but it didn't capture it. I didn't have the "What You Hear" parameter set, nor did I check the box to have the audio play back in real time as the rendering process takes place; so I don't know if either one of those ideas will do the trick. Unless there's a way to route the metronome to a track's input, I guess we're stuck doing things the old fashion way with a cable patched from an out to an in.

Hi, 1 thing to note, virtual audio cable will only work if you are using
wdm. If you are using asio drivers for your interface, as you know you can
only select 1 device at a time. So this solution wouldn't work then, well
not without some other problems. If you have a saffire interface, this is
where the virtual loopback ports come in handy! BTW, I thought you could
record a click by setting it to run on playback as well as recording? So
that when you mix down the bus will include the click track? I think I did
this once a few years ago, don't remember how, but I know it's doable. Or
maybe I used a physical cable, can't remember.

HTH, D!J!X!
