Ann,

Back then, I wasn't using word processors, but that feature is such a common one in just about any text editor that I'm astounded it isn't part of DBTW's editor.

Here here Steve. Do you all remember good old Word Perfect for DOS when you were expected by the creators of that wonderful old program to know what you wanted to do with your data and you could pull one file after another into the same open document? Ah those were the days. DUXWP was a good old program too. I miss them both like old friends gone away.

Hi everyone,

I'd like to see an option in the File Menu that would allow a file to be
inserted into an already existing document. To understand why, consider
the following scenario:

I am assembling a newsletter consisting of several articles, each of which
comes to me in a separate file. Since I want the final result to be a DBT
file, I start by importing the first article into DBT. For each subsequent
article, I have to open the file, select all of it, copy it to the
clipboard, close it, go back to my original file, and paste in the contents
of the clipboard. While this is certainly doable, the process would be
much simpler if there was an option that allowed me to insert each new
article into my original file at the location of the cursor.
