Good points below, which I'd like to comment on below that.

But, most sighted people who are relying on the braille translation program to give them an automatic braille copy don't do this, and are puzzled (some even a little annoyed) when I tell them that they need to take the underlines away or take the number signs away, etc.

The questions here are why should they need to change anything? My answer (and remember I'm sighted too) is twofold.


1) They didn't use underlining correctly. That is, it wasn't a proper hyperlink.

2) Double number signs as in "Apt #5" is to my way of thinking a translator program bug. And I'll stand up in front of anyone at Duxbury and say so.

I can't do much about the first, but I'm sure going to try and get the second problem fixed.
