[duxuser] Re: Dilemma, How to Train Sighted Staff to Do Braille using DBT

When I import a document from Word into DBT it comes in with the dots 46 for
the underlines. This is an awesome problem when I do contracts as I have
bunches of lines with the underlines on them. I use the Search and Replace
feature and replace all the underlines with either a space or dash depending
on what I'm doing.

using DBT

Hi Sylvie,

I usually do all my cleanup work in DBT, my assumption being that braille
will be my final product. I wonder what DBT does with a whole group of
underlines in an imported Word document. I'll have to experiment with that
and see. If it does what I hope it does, there might be a fairly easy and
fast way to clean things up. Incidentally, I'm also totally blind, and am
using JFW 4.51. I've written a couple of scripts and a couple of frames
that make DBT a bit easier to use, and I'd be happy to discuss them off
list with anyone who's interested. I'll even discuss it here if enough
people want me to, but I hate to clutter up the list if only a few people
care.
