I returned yesterday afternoon from a business trip in Arizona
with its 100+F temperatures (that ooh so dry heat!), so
I looked forward to the cooler temperatures of Nashville. It
certainly felt like a crisp fall day as I walked around Radnor
Lake, looking for birds that the recent cold front brought. Jan
Shaw caught up to me, and we walked to Long Bridge and then back
to the West Parking lot. Although there were more migrants than
10 days ago when I left for Arizona, there still were NOT large
numbers of migrants. We had 9 warbler species and found our
first YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERs of the season.

Birds of interest included:

Pied-billed Grebe 2
Ruby-throated Hummingbird 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Swainson's Thrush 1
Gray Catbird 1
Brown Thrasher 1
Cedar Waxwing 15+
Yellow-throated Vireo 1
Nashville Warbler 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler 1
Magnolia Warbler 12+
Yellow-rumped Warbler 2
Black-throated Green Warbler 5
Blackburnian Warbler 1
Black-and-white Warbler 2
American Redstart 5
Common Yellowthroat 1
Summer Tanager 1
Rose-breasted Grosbeak 3
