ARGH. This appears to be a case of too many chefs in the kitchen.
Please allow me to clarify.

The bug was, or is, depending on the disposition of your particular
unit, in the Micro IEC's boot loader and not in its firmware. That
means units that were purchased and delivered at the World of
Commodore will work as intended but cannot be upgraded to future
versions of the firmware (which may or may not contain fixes for bugs
not yet found). It is preferable, not essential, that your unit(s) be
reprogrammed with new boot loader code. An announcement will be made
shortly when and where to bring your unit(s) should you wish to have
them reprogrammed. Should you be unable to attend, we will make
alternate arrangements for you. There will be no charge for the
reprogramming.

In the meantime, enjoy your Micro IEC(s).
