Hi, try deleting the aud.ini file, or rename it to audio.old or something,
then hold shift, press enter on the sonar icon, and continue to hold shift.
When it asks you if you want to reset or copy data, click cancel, since you
don't need the data overwritten.
This should launch sonar in safe mode. You might also want to try turning on
sonar without your mic plugged in; it might then switch to silent buses and
let you make changes there.

Hi. So I'm hitting shift-enter, basically? Or do I have to double click on
it? If I have to double click then I'll have to wait till my fiance gets
home, because she can see where the mouse is. But if I'm hitting
shift-enter, it does the same thing. But I'll try to get her to start it
with the mouse and see what happens with that. Then I can set it back to
asio and grab asio for all I guess, assuming of course that setting it to
asio fixes it. I still don't get why you can't just directly edit the
aud.ini file and tell it what driver to use though.
