Hello, John,

It would be useful to learn if SONAR crashes without JAWS running.  Have you
tried that?  If you have no sighted assistance handy, perhaps unload JAWS
and run Microsoft Narrator to do the talking.  

Please remind us what version of JAWS and Windows you are running.

Now this is interesting. I renamed aud.ini, then held shift and pressed
enter on Sonar, continuing to hold shift. It said it was going to
personalize my user data, I told it to cancel. Then it brought up the wave
profiler and asked if I wanted to do that. I said no. Then it gave
send/don't send again. Now if I start it by holding shift and hitting enter
it also goes back to the send/don't send. Seriously, I just picked a
different driver. That shouldn't make the program completely and utterly
unusable.
