In case this wasn't clear, I meant reinstalling Sonar, not windows or such. If nobody comes up with anything in the next day or so I'll try a system restore. It just seems like overkill to me. It strikes me that I should be able to alter Sonar somehow or other and get it back to what it was doing previously, as opposed to altering my entire system. Plus it doesn't really tell me what's going on. Suppose the restore works. Great, I've got Sonar working again, but if I want to actually try using my USB microphone and the same thing happens again when I set it to use MME32 drivers, I'm right back at the same place. I don't know what happened, and all I can do to fix it is a restore. It's not a very elegant or informative solution, and that sort of thing always bothers me.
