This past Sunday,10 birders gathered at the Merrimac Farm WildlifeManagement
Area in Nokesville for the Last-Sunday-of-the-Month birding walk sponsored by
the Prince William Conservation Alliance. We tallied 35 species with an
American Kestrel as the bird of the day, and a great flock of White-throated
Sparrows singing the first notes of 'Oh, Canada' . It was a beautiful morning
toped off with coffee and cookies and muffins from our guests.

The Prince William Conservation Alliance birdwalks at the Merrimac Farm
Wildlife Management Area in Nokesville take place at 8 AM on the final Sunday
of every month. Birders meet at the Area's entrance located at the stonehouse
