That depends on if the computer's BIOS/EFI will allow you to boot from a
secondary drive; some laptops don't, especially if you have to use a drive
caddy.

Actually, I believe on the Mac you can have two drives. My computer does not
have a optic drive so I could put a drive right there in its place.PLEASE
