Try doing a real job in IT with out that builtin functionality.
Let me see you as easily install windows from scratch.
And yes VoiceOver has many things over other windows screen readers including
NVDA not the least of which the screen format and style of content on the
display is not hidden from the blind user like it is with other software. As
you mention some of the unix Screen readers come close to what VO does and the
native OS support you get but in the business world a blind user will have a
far easier time working in an Apple Shop.
